Of Cojones and Courage

Marty here!

I'm amused as I watch Earthling TV and read Earthling newspapers to see that former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin stated that Mr. Obama lacks the "cojones [pronounced Co - hone - es]" to tackle the illegal alien problem in the United States.  Of course, in polite company, only the word cojones would do.  The rest of us would say either "the President needs to grow a pair," or "the President doesn't have the balls" to tackle the problem of 30 million people sapping the economy of the United States.

While it is absolutely true that the folk from Mexico and elsewhere do add to the economy, it is equally true that their drain on the economy via costs to educate children and health care/welfare costs and the amount of money sent home add up to a net drain.  This isn't conjecture, but fact. Five sources, read them all.

In actuality, as I pointed out in a previous post the real reason Obama and his Democratic compatriots in the House, Senate and from Hispanic Politicos most everywhere is that most illegal aliens who vote [and they vote illegally of course] vote for Democrats.  Dispute that if you will.

So, for those of you in this country (and the facts are that this is the vast majority) who think, like Palin, that Obama lacks the cojones to stop illegal immigration think again.  He wants it to continue and he thinks he can keep it going with something called immigration reform.  Beware the reformers folks, they don't have YOUR best interests in mind, only their own.

I'm back! but this UPDATE is worth reading.  My friend Mustang at Social Sense has a great article up "The Illegal Question."

Debt Piled On Debt

Marty here!

Let me see if I get this right!  States have bankrupted themselves by deficit spending and now they don't have enough money to pay their bills.  So, the U.S. Senate, in their "wisdom" has authorized $26.1 billion in money the United States doesn't have to bail out the states.  Isn't that strange?  Imagine what is going to happen when the US, currently $54 TRILLION (yes, you read that right) in total debt just can't pay its bills?

This will be interesting and Obama can't blame Bush for this mess.  I guess I could loan the US enough to pay all its bills, but I doubt if they take Martian Express.

Prostituting the Hispanic Vote

Marty here.

From my highly sophisticated observatory here in the Wabash crater on Mars, I used my ultra telescope to read a column written by one Andres Oppenheimer.  Now, Oppenheimer sounds German, but I think this fellow is probably a Hispanic.  At any rate, his column entitled "Arizona Ruling May Backfire For Immigrants,"  is part of my observation and the reason for this post.

Mr. Oppenheimer opines:
My opinion: I know this sounds weird, but if the judge had not blocked the worst provisions of the Arizona law, the state legislation may have died of natural causes once local police forces realized that they don't have the resources to act as federal immigration officers, nor the stomach to be seen worldwide as symbols of state-sponsored xenophobia.

Letting the worst parts of the Arizona law stand would have given Democrats a major campaign issue to get out the Hispanic vote in November, keep their majority in both houses of Congress, and negotiate a comprehensive immigration bill from a position of strength.

Now, it's going to be more difficult to get a high turnout from Hispanics, and we run the risk of ending up with a new Congress that is more sympathetic to Arizona-inspired anti-immigration laws. I hope I'm wrong, but it's a distinct possibility.
"[...] would have given Democrats a major campaign issue to get out the Hispanic vote in November,"  says it all for the point I'm going to make.  The Democrats take for granted the Hispanic vote should be theirs, much like they take the black vote for granted.

There are millions of voting Hispanics in the United States and many of them support "immigration reform" but why should they? Illegal immigrants take jobs, drive down wages and increase the costs of government everywhere from schools to hospitals.  Yet, if you would believe the "progressives" we must "reform" the current laws.  Again, why?  If you buy the same reasoning as Oppenheimer, one would believe that the process of accepting these scofflaws into the path of citizenship is so that they, and their established compatriots can vote Democratic.  Doesn't that seem just a tad bit strange even to you earthlings?  We here on Mars would never put up with that kind of charazz (that's a Martian colloquialism that you probably understand.) Is it, according to the "civil rights" of all U.S. citizens that a massive of some 30 million potential Democratic voters should be ushered in by the very same Democratic party that is currently in power?  Here on Mars we'd consider that abuse of power, in the U.S. it is apparently "just politics."

But I'm surprised the Hispanic voters aren't up in arms about the prostitution of their vote by the Democrats.  Surely the Hispanic voters aren't one massive voting bloc of progressives.  Surely, there are Hispanic politicos who strongly object to this politics as usual.  Surely, there are Hispanic voters who are fed up with being used for their votes then abandoned with promises of "immigration reform."

But then, maybe not.

The Arizona Conundrum

Marty here!  I've been observing your political problems in Arid (which you folk call Arizona).  Listen, I call places by what they seem to be, but in recognition that I need to communicate with you earthlings, I'll call the places what you call them, even if it is more difficult for me, it's the least I can do for a people that would elect a velvet voice with no experience to lead them.  Arizona recently passed and the Governor signed a law that mimics the Federal law and the President and most of the Progressives and certainly all the Democrats got their panties all in a twist.

At any rate, the President (a dude named Obama) directed his legal eagle known as an Attorney General to file a law suit to get the law in Arizona tossed out.  Geeze folks, can't you do anything right? I've read your Constitution and there is nothing in there that says states can't pass laws mimicking your Constitution.  Look, it is very simple, you folk are being overrun with invaders from other countries.  Primarily from a country named Mexico, but other countries (in particular in the middle east) as well and your federal government isn't doing Jack about it.  And here you folk are sitting on your collective butts watching this charade happen.  What the hell is wrong with you?

We once were invaded by the planet Pluto and were almost run over by these silly looking mutts but we rounded them up, shipped them home and that was the end of the problem.  It took a while, it was expensive but it had to be done. And Martians understood that, in spite of the fact that most if not all of the Pluton's just wanted to live in a more prosperous planet, with more freedom etc.  But they were costing money, taking jobs which Martian war dogs needed and they just left a large mess of stuff on the ground, if you know what I mean.  Why the hell don't you guys see that you need to do the same.

And don't tell me that all those folk have any right to invade.  Your panty waisted progressives may wring their hands and cry out for social justice, but who is crying out for the social justice for your own citizens who are poor and willing to take a job, any job to earn a living.  Huh?  Didn't you think of them?  You have enough folks to do the work, so get with the program.

Greetings Earthlings

Marty here and I've been watching you from the Warrior Planet Mars.  From here, I can only say that you people have screwed up an awful lot of things.  Oh, I know, most of you feel rather inconsequential when it comes to feeling like you can make any changes, but my gosh folks, take a look around you.  What do you see.  You folks in the political subdivision called the United States (ha, united my rear end - the squabbling, dividing yourselves into red and blue states) having your federal government attack your state called Arid (yes, I know, its really called Arizona but my gosh it's Arid).  I just don't know what to make of all this.  Well, there are other political subdivisions out there that I'll comment on from time to time, but you Americans, well, you guys take the cake.

Here on my world, we'd never put up with a leader like you have.  My gosh, our folk have sufficient intelligence not to be taken in by velvet speech and catchy slogans.  Yes we can indeed!  So, in the coming rotations of your planet (you do call them day's don't you) I'll be dropping by and giving you the benefit of my superior intellect, my observations on things stupid and perverse, and an occasional suggestion as to how you can pull your heads out of your collective butts.
